Guests will be able to scan a unique code on their room key and connect to locals using Facebook Messenger who can provide inside knowledge on hidden bars, secret breakfast spots, and insider secrets about the local neighbourhood.
The upscale lifestyle hotel brand is opening in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast, and is currently searching for locals who would be able to act as city guides.
Successful applicants for the Keys to the City campaign will join Queensland local, Gold Coast lover, and former Miss Universe Australia Laura Dundovic. The Australian model and TV presenter said applicants should live and breathe all things Broadbeach.
“We want to find locals with just as much passion for this beautiful place. If you know where to find those hidden gems and secret spots that really make the Gold Coast special, get involved!”
General Manager Marketing, AVANI Hotels & Resorts, Kira Klein, said that her team is excited about showcasing a local look at the many perks that Broadbeach has to offer.
“We are eager to see how many self-proclaimed Broadbeach experts are keen to come on board and share their tips on the best places to eat, drink, shop and play with our guests,” Ms Klein said.
Interested applicants can enter by heading to the AVANI Broadbeach Residences Facebook page and share why they deserve to be a Broadbeach Keys to the City guide. Answers that are bursting with creativity will go into a draw to win an overseas, luxury AVANI experience that includes return airfares and 4 night’s accommodation in Auckland, New Zealand. The official opening for AVANI Broadbeach is Monday 4 December.
