As a homage to Italian festas, the high-end jewellery label unveiled the collection in a celebratory showing at the Palace of Scuola Grande Della Misericordia, one of the most important social institutions in the Serenissima Republic of Venice. The palace’s stunning rooms served as the prestigious scenery for the unveiling, setting an atmosphere that could only be described as surreal and magical.
Hosted by Jean-Christophe Babin, Bulgari Group CEO, guests were welcomed by a spectacular High Jewellery show with models gracefully wandering amongst the guests. As the Bulgari jewels popped with colour and precious gemstones, the larger-than-life character of the brand came alive, whilst an orchestra played reinterpreted Italian themes. Guests were entertained by joyful dancers and extraordinary acrobats during the dinner with a special performance accompanied by the music of the great Italian composers Ennio Morricone and Nino Rota.
Bulgari brand ambassadors, including Lily Aldridge, Bella Hadid and Alicia Vikander, all attended the event sporting something from the new collection.
The new book The Joy of Gems written by the jewellery historian Vivienne Becker and published by Assoulin, was also presented at the launch. In the volume, Bulgari’s creativity and Roman elegance is displayed, exalted by the exuberant colour harmonies of unique diamonds and precious stones.
