After the success of last year’s event, the Effervescence Champagne Festival will return from 11-13 August. Only an hour from the bustling Brisbane City, guest can escape to the tranquil Spicers Hidden Vale for a weekend of bubbles and serenity.

Created by Champagne educator Amanda Reboul, Effervescence is an event for dedicated champagne enthusiasts and interested novices alike. The inaugral festival was held in August last year, celebrating everything champagne and guiding guests through the different regions and styles of one of the world’s most loved wines.

According to Damien Anthony Rossi, last year’s Effervescence ambassador and presenter on Channel 7’s The Great Day Out,

“The inaugural Effervescence was a wonderful weekend and a champagne lover’s dream.”

Come on the Sunday for a day of champagne, food and music. Guests will spend a relaxing afternoon following a trail – at their own pace – around the picturesque grounds of Spicers Hidden Vale, stopping at four different stations representing the main growing regions of champagne.

Alternatively, aficionados can immerse themselves in champagne over an indulgent VIP weekend. The VIP experience includes a welcome cocktail party, champagne breakfasts, masterclasses, luxury accommodation, and a range of additional activities.

This year, Effervescence is offering 20 couples (or friends!) the opportunity to experience the luxury champagne filled weekend.

Damien says, “Those who joined us for the VIP weekend were truly indulged, from the minute the first flute of Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque was poured at the welcome cocktail party to the lavish long lunches on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.”

Representatives from major and smaller family-owned champagne house will be in attendance, along with champagne experts such as Vin de Champagne award winner, David Donald, giving guests the opportunity to taste and talk to people in the know.
