Left your Easter plans to the last minute this year? Hop into Brisbane city for an egg-cellent line-up of family-friendly activities and free events.

These Easter holidays you’ll find plenty to do in the city, at venues including Strike Bowling, Event Cinemas, shopping at Wintergarden, QueensPlaza, MacArthur Central, The Myer Centre, Roma Street Parkland, plus, there are children’s activities planned for the Queen Street Mall, South Bank, The State Library, GoMA and Museum of Brisbane. will sprinkle their magic over the Queen Street Mall stage with a free show running from 1 to 9 April, three times daily (11am, 12pm and 1pm). Or head on over to the Stamford Plaza lobby lounge to see it transformed into an Easter wonderland for the Mad Hatters High Tea from 1 to 17 April.

Southbank has families covered with their free Wild Rangers Wildlife Experience on Thursday April 6 from 9am to 1pm where youngsters can see their favourite native animals up close. It’s part of the regular Little Days Out program in the Parklands every Thursday.

There’s an Easter Egg-stravaganza of games and craft in the Epicurious Garden on Thursday, 13 April. The Live Large festival will run in South Bank’s Cultural Forecourt on Easter Saturday and Sunday. Brimming with market stalls, activity zones for kids and creative workshops, Live Large is a fully accessible and inclusive festival designed for people of all ages and abilities.

Retailers will also be trialing trade on Easter Sunday, after the State Government granted permission for them to open their doors; a perfect shopping opportunity for all of those last minute Easter chocolates.
