Emporium Hotels’ Executive Chef, John Lopez, has unveiled a special Christmas menu at Belle Époque Patisserie in Fortitude Valley. The new menu carries an Australian native feel and is officially be available Friday, December 1, with both dine in and take home options.
News was announced in August that Josh would conclude a five-year tenure as Executive Chef at GOMA Restaurant, where he was awarded a prestigious two hats by the Brisbane Times Good Food Guide in 2016 and CITI Chef of the Year. As well as this acclaim, he has also given the Australian Gourmet Traveller Star for 2017 and recently appeared on MasterChef setting a pressure test challenge.
Josh will have full control over the direction of the new flagship hotel at South Bank’ dining options, creating the menu and flavour proposition for the yet-to-be-named signature restaurant, as well as the rooftop bar, piano bar, Belle Époque Patisserie, in-suite dining and conferencing and events. The second Emporium Hotel will open in South Bank mid- 2018. Until then Josh is focusing on the food offer at the Fortitude Valley store and menu creations and trials.
