Brisbane Arts Theatre will have two new shows opening next month, Avenue Q, and 50 Shades! the Musical.
Avenue Q:
For those who don’t know about this seemingly cute, family puppet musical, the first thing we’ll say is DON’T BRING YOUR KIDS! This is a more grown-up version of those loveable Sesame Street muppets who dance, sing, fight and (wait for it) have sex – on stage. Facing unemployment, relationship problems and addictions, these muppets will make sure you never look at Sesame Street quite the same way again.

50 Shades! The Musical Parody:
In 2011, sensible book readers everywhere were rocked by the first instalment of what was to become a most notoriously successful novel series by E. L. James; 50 Shades of Grey. It seems only natural that a story as infamous as this should be turned into a hilarious comedy spoof.
An extremely familiar local women’s book club will lead the audience through a world of pleasure, pain, and self-deprecating humour. Christian Grey will fill every hole and open every heart of an audience who may even become part of the action. Get together with the girls, drag your gents along, do whatever you can to get along to this titillating, hilarious, and extremely sexy show.
