The Fashion Forum – Coming Into Fashion
Coming into Fashion: A Century of Photography at Condé Nast is a ticketed exhibition on display at Gold Coast City Gallery 25 November 2017 until 18 February 2018. As a part of this celebration of fashion photography, organisers are offering a rare opportunity to engage in an intimate and insightful conversation with leaders of the international fashion industry and Australian’s most creative fashion pioneers.
The event will take place on the 20th of January at the Paradise Showroom at The Art Centre on the Gold Coast. Tickets are $45 per person.
The schedule for the forum begins at 1o:00am with a 60 minute conversation with Ari Seth Cohen, a photographer who works to revolutionise how age is treated in the fashion and beauty industry. Then, at 11:15am the respected journalist and Deputy Editor of Vogue Australia, Sophie Tedmanson will speak on her journey in the fashion and journalism industry.
Following a break for lunch, some networking, and a beverage or two, Gail Sorronda, an Australian Fashion designer, will speak on her niche Label, which commences at 1:3opm. At 2:45, The owner and custodian of the Darnell Collection, Charlotte Smith, will give take you on a guided tour of one of the most valuable collections of clothing in existence. The forum will close at4:30pm, but not before a final opportunity for drinks and networking.
