Geoff Todd and Ningurra Napurrula Gibson Exhibition
Geoff Todd and Ningurra Napurrula Gibson will be showcasing their artworks at the Mitchell Fine Art gallery. Geoff established himself as an artist at the age of 18 when he presented his first solo exhibition in 1969. His art is bold, intimate and personal, the artworks often display erotic connections with his subjects, while encompassing broader themes, such as national identity, Indigenous rights, sexuality, terrorism and war. Ningurra artwork displays strong dynamism and rich linear design compositions created with heavy layers of acrylic paint. In 2003, Ningurra became one of five artists who had their artwork featured on a range of Australia Post international stamps.
