The annual Felton Food Festival is this weekend.

Held annually, the Festival is a showcase of everything for which the Felton Valley is famous. While the food is king, there are plenty of other activities to take part in over the weekend. Two farm tours will be running on Saturday, 25 March, perfect for families, friends, farmers and food lovers to enjoy. That night, wind down at the inaugural Twilight Dinner, featuring a gourmet barbecue with protein and produce sourced from the local region, cooked by Alastair McLeod with help from Costa Georgiadis.

Sunday, 26 March is festival day, embracing the theme, Science Changing Agriculture, in partnership with the World Science Festival. Activities and stalls will showcase the ways science is changing agriculture, to educate and captivate visitors and celebrate the future of farming. Visitors will have the opportunity to mingle amongst the wide range of market stands, take a crop tour, meet a local farmer, witness a cooking demonstration, learn about the paddock to plate process, and relax in the country atmosphere.
Celebrity guests include Alison Alexander, Jerry Coleby-Williams, and country singer Brendon Walmsley, with more to be announced. George the Farmer will also be back for another year, sure to keep the kids entertained. Felton is located 30 kilometres south of Toowoomba – a number of weekend accommodation packages are available. Enjoy a weekend exploring this exciting corner of Queensland.
