The seventh annual James Street Food & Wine Trail will return to Fortitude Valley this year, with the popular street playing host to Trail Day on Saturday 28 July and Market Day on Sunday 29 July.

Trail Day will see local collaborations take centre stage with Brisbane MINI Garage partnering with Pineapple Express to host a MINI Tailgate Party in James Lane. Gerard’s Bar and Harveys Bar + Bistro will be teaming up with Bee One Third for sweet pairings with James Street’s very own honey.

The rooftops of James Street play home to five beehives, which are owned, cared for and cultivated by Apiarist Jack Wilson Stone, the “queen bee” of Bee One Third. Ben Williamson of Gerard’s Bar will incorporate Bee One Third honey into the menu offering for their Wine Meats Cheese; Weird, Wonderful and Obscure on Trail Day while PJ McMillian of Harvey’s Bar + Bistro will be offering a custom cocktail all weekend.

Also available is the highly desirable breakfast menu at Gerard’s Bistro that will return exclusively for this year’s event. The culinary adventure will continue with Market Day, where more than 23 James Street vendors will serve restaurant quality fare as they take over the street from 10AM to 6PM. The picnic style event will again see a portion of the street, from McLachlan to Roberston Street’s closed, with this year’s event expanding from Pottery Barn to St Barts to allow for additional activities and dining areas.

Guests are invited to enjoy an alfresco dining experience along with live chef demonstrations at the ILVE Pop-Up Kitchen, live music performances at the LIVE, VIBE and
JAZZ Stages, craft classes and a Kids Camp for little foodie enthusiasts.
