Created by the owners of Ristorante Fellini is new casual dining space Pizzeria and Mozzarella Bar by Fellini at Marina Mirage in Surfers Paradise.

Located in the same Fellini complex, the eatery boasts a separate entrance and offers customers a range of pizzas while introducing them to the concept of a Mozzarella Bar. Fellinico-owner Carlo Percuoco said the Mozzarella Bar will feature a selection of small plates ideal for sharing. “This is a unique concept for the Gold Coast, where customers can sit down at their table and choose from a variety of mozzarella cheeses imported from Italy and Australian made, and a selection of antipasto meats and ingredients,” he said.

Soon to be open to the public on Saturday 9 June, Pizzeria and Mozzarella Bar by Fellini will provide a space for customers to “enjoy the best in Italian food, service and style in a relaxed casual dining atmosphere”. The eatery has enough room to seat 50 people and also has a dedicated takeaway counter for those who want to order pizzas to take home. In addition to the Mozzarella Bar, the menu will also feature traditional Neapolitan pizzas that are hand-stretched and stone-baked in a wood-fire oven that has been imported from Italy and assembled on site over the past few months. The high quality oven will be able to cook a pizza in 30 seconds with temperatures reaching 600 degrees.

“Dining-style pizzerias are very popular overseas at the moment and we want to offer this concept to customers,” said Mr Percuoco. “We think lovers of Italian food will be happy with the convenience of being able to pop in to the Pizzeria and Mozzarella Bar for a casual bite to eat or pick up a signature Fellini pizza.”
