The latest addition to the Howard Smith Wharves development has been announced as Mr Percival’s overwater bar, overseen by head chef Damien Styles.

Mr Percival’s interior will be modeled on European beach clubs and feature a seafood-heavy menu by Damien, whose latest role was at The Fish House in Burleigh Heads. The bar will span 200 square metres of the new development and features an overwater deck designed by Anna Spiro, as well as features including green tiling, salmon pink umbrellas and an iconic octagonal bar.

The menu will take inspiration from the Mediterranean with aperitivo-style snacks including lobster rolls, whipped cod roe served with warm baguette and fried zucchini fritters. Customers will be able to enjoy lunch on the deck or sip spritz style cocktails to live music beneath the Story Bridge.

The Howard Smiths Wharves development has been under construction for many years, with the 3.4-hectare site being transformed into an entertainment and lifestyle precinct surrounding the heritage listed buildings. Plans include a 164-room five star hotel, over eight restaurants, a brewery, on-site coffee roasting and exhibitions.

Mr Percival’s will be one of the first dining facilities to open on November 29, proceeded by the likes of Toko Brisbane and Stanley Restaurant and Bar in December.
