RACV Resort Noosa has taken the title of best hotel in Queensland after winning HotelsCombined Recognition of Excellence Awards 2017. The resort was drawn from more than 27 finalists.

RACV Noosa Resort Manager, Darren McClenagham, said that the award is a testament to the hardworking staff at the resort who go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service for their patrons.

“This award is a great achievement for the team at RACV’s Noosa Resort and is a testament to the resorts’ dedicated staff who take great pride in the hotel and service to guests,” he said.

“RACV Resort staff work very hard to ensure our guests have an experience to remember and go above and beyond when it comes to customer service. This award is based purely on guest reviews and ratings, not judges – so the results speak for themselves.”

Chris Rivett, Head of Marketing for HotelsCombined Australia and New Zealand explained that the award celebrates the best hotels for impeccable customer service across the country and that the resort is well deserving of the award.

“While RACV Resort Noosa is located in Noosa Heads, one of Australia’s most popular holiday destinations, it’s surprising to see it beat some of the bigger hotels in Brisbane, suggesting good customer service is not limited to our large cities.”

The analysis conducted by the data expert team means that the Recognition of Excellence Awards are based on criteria

including quality and consistency of guest reviews, customer ratings, the absence of recurring or unresolved issues, blogs, forums and social media posts. This makes it a completely different system to most awards that rely on judges for the final decision.

Finalists and winners of the prestigious award are representative of the highest standards in the industry, averaging 9.7 out of a possible 10 points, compared to the industry standard of 7.2. This places them within the top three per cent of hotels worldwide.

The Recognition of Excellence Awards is awarded annually and announced in the first quarter of every year, with 2017 being its inaugural year.
