The great thing about this dish is its simplicity and of course the reliance on the fruit of the season. You could do this with a mix of summer berries or tropical fruit like mangoes, nectarines and lychees or make it with several varieties of plums or make an apricot and pear tart. Whatever looks good and is in season will work and it will taste fantastic.
