One of Australia’s most loved fast fashion labels now calls Westfield Chermside home.

Sabo Skirt has opened its very first bricks-and-mortar store at the newly-renovated Chermside centre. Founded by sisters-in-law Thessy and Yiota Kouzoukas, Sabo Skirt is wrapping up a whirlwind year with its latest venture.

Earlier this year, the pair were named Cosmopolitan’s Women of the Year in its Fashion Designer category, all with Yiota being six months pregnant, and Thessy experiencing major health issues with endometriosis. Despite the challenges of 2017, Sabo Skirt is as strong as ever.

“This year has definitely been one of the biggest for us, both personally and for the business, but having a united front and our team back us every single day, has helped us get through it,” said Yiota.

The opening follows the brand’s online popularity, with the label’s Instagram page boasting more than 1.6 million followers, with style icons Bella and Gigi Hadid among those sporting the brand.

“This is something Yiota and I have always thought about and we can’t wait for everyone to try on our clothes, experience our world and be part of this next chapter of our brand,” Thessy said.

“It’s super close to home and we can’t wait to share this special experience with all the Brisbane girls who have supported us since day one.”

Sabo Skirt has recently launched the Sabo Swim, Sabo Luxe, and Sabo Mini collections, which are all currently stocked at the new store.

Fashionistas will be able to find the iconic Sabo style opposite retail giants, Sephora and H&M on Westfield Chermside’s second level.
