Sirromet Winery has launched Sanctuary by Sirromet, treating guests to an escape to nature, the “glamping” experience set in the bushland offers guests accommodation options of a selection of pavilions suited to both families and couples.

The 560 acre property is situated in South East Queensland and captures views across Moreton Bay and Stradbroke Island. With the winery hosting an average of 6000 people a week, it is no surprise that owner Terry Morris has decided to expand the property’s offerings to include the luxury accommodation. The tented pavilions surround the natural laguna where wallabies can be seen grazing freely across the grounds.

Sirromet is a family owned and run winery a mere 30 minute drive from Brisbane CBD. Terry’s idea behind the winery was sparked at a dinner party in Victoria where his friends remarked that there was no such thing as good wine in Queensland. The entrepreneur used these comments as motivation to create a winery that utilised the rich soil, high altitude and cool climate of the Granite Belt Region. The winery now boasts more than 900 prestigious national and international wine awards to date. Guests at Sanctuary are able to indulge in the vast selection of wines and dine in one of the three restaurants on site. The $10 million infrastructure will eventually include 54 sites, all to be developed in the next 12 months. Terry’s goal is to encompass the natural surroundings of the winery and provide guests with comfortable accommodation for those wishing to fully immerse themselves in the winery experience.
