Lucia Cimino has been named the most stylish person on the Sunshine Coast at the 11th annual Sunshine Coast Style Awards at The Sebel Pelican Waters on Friday 19 October. The awards are the festivals annual search for the most stylish person on the Sunshine Coast, and the annual best-dressed list. Following Lucia on the Best Dressed List for 2018 was Danni Morrison, Peter Ansell, Kary Roach, Zak Cassells, Justina Simone, Helene Dyke, Kristy Lee Tentori, Tim Crabtree and Mirhana iki Grubic.

As well as the Style awards the 5th annual Sunshine Coast Design Awards and Hall of Fame were also held at The Sebel Pelican Waters. These awards recognise the hard work and dedication of the Sunshine Coast designers behind the labels that you see featured on the streets. The winners of the design awards are, for swimwear Steph Gabriel of OceanZen Bikini, resort wear Jessica Abrahams of Tasi Travels, activewear Nadine Hoffmann of Aloki Athletica, ethical/sustainable Katie Johnson of WILD the Lifestyle Co., accessories Katie Johnson of WILD the Lifestyle Co., and for couture Stephanie Patey of Ivie White. Challee O’Reilly of Matilda Cove won young designer of the year and Kat Hogg of Hive Swimwear was a hall of fame inductee.

The Sunshine Coast International Fashion Festival, now in its 10th year,  provides a global platform to showcase swim, resort, ready to wear, ethical, intimates, wearable art and couture Summer fashion ranges. With a variety of catwalks, industry events, trade opportunities and seasonal awards the festival provides an affordable opportunity for labels. The 2018 event supported the St Vincent De Paul Society QLD and St Teresa’s Catholic College.
