Murray Coulter has been appointed Venue Manager at Stokehouse Q, bringing with him serious gravitas. Murray was most recently Restaurant Manager at the internationally acclaimed Dormy House Hotel & Spa in the Cotswolds, England.

Winner of Hotel of the Year & Country House Hotel of the Year at the 2017 SLH Awards, Dormy House featured 38 luxurious rooms and suites, a fine dining restaurant and a Scandinavian inspired spa feature and infinity pool.

Prior to this he was Restaurant Manager at Brisbane’s Billykart Kitchen, working alongside Chef Ben O’Donoghue, and before that, Restaurant Manager at the acclaimed fine diner and multi-hatted Esquire, owned by Chef Ryan Squires. At the famed Stokehouse Q at South Bank, he will work with Executive Chef Richard Ousby and his team, as well as national general manager Peter McMahon.

Set right on the Brisbane River, Stokehouse Q promises unparalleled river views and an elegant fine dining experience in the heart of South Bank Parklands. Featuring three distinct locations in which to enjoy the Stokehouse Q experience, patrons can enjoy a full restaurant menu of  entrees and  mains in the contemporary restaurant, take in the views and a share plate from the Stoke Bar, or enjoy private dining with friends from the picturesque mezzanine level.

Executive Chef Richard Ousby leads this fine dining experience. Having won the the title at the San Pellegrino and Acqua Panna young chef of the year in 2012, and winning Electrolux Australian young chef of the year in 2011, Ousby is set to deliver.
