W Brisbane has officially opened its doors and mark the re-entry of W Hotels Worldwide in Australia on Friday 1 June.

To celebrate, W Brisbane embarked on an Aussie road trip along Australia’s East Coast in a custom designed glam W Pineapple Caravan, inspired by Queensland’s iconic tourist destination, The Big Pineapple, and Australia’s love affair with the outdoors. The four metre high structure will feature fully equipped DJ decks, with a line-up of up and coming Australian DJ’s performing at locations on route.

The celebration continued throughout the day with W Brisbane’s Music Curator, Kane Dignum and guest DJs playing, as well as Amy Sheppard from Brisbane Indie Pop band, Sheppard, from the glam pineapple caravan. Minister for Innovation and Tourism Industry Development Kate Jones attended the morning’s formalities and was joined by Lord Mayor Graham Quirk, Shayher Group’s Group Director John Lin, Marriott International Chief Operating Officer Rajeev Menon and W Brisbane’s General Manager Haldon Philp.

W Brisbane is the first five star hotel to open in Brisbane’s CBD in 20 years. Featuring 312 stylish guestrooms and suites, all showcasing river views, and three distinct destination venues including the hotel’s signature dining experience, Three Blue Ducks; Living Room Bar, a laidback lounge by day and a vibrant bar by night; and Level Four’s rooftop WET Deck, a destination bar for curated cocktails, barbeque fare and unmissable sunset views over the Brisbane River.
