The Gold Coast’s Winter Wine festival at Sanctuary Cove returns this year, from Saturday July 28 to Sunday July 29.
Food and wine lovers are invited to rug up to revel in wintry delights and enjoy all things wine as The Marine Village is transformed into an enchanting vineyard inspired wonderland. Returning for its third year, the annual festival will see guests follow an indulgent wine trail throughout the Marine Village to taste a selection of full bodied reds and crisp whites, while enjoying the top champagnes from across the globe, special wine appreciation events, fine dining and live music.
Showcasing labels from local, national and international regions, the popular wine trail will feature international and Australian wine makers and producers. Guests are able to taste and buy a wide range of wines on display using a coupon based redemption system. Map in hand, the trail will allow guests to meander throughout the Village, stopping in at its award winning restaurants to sample decadent drops.
Event organizer at Sanctuary Cove Johan Hasser said Winter Wine had evolved to become a permanent highlight of their seasonal events calendar, appealing to the tastes of many. “Since its inaugural festival in 2016, Winter Wine has quickly become a popular and much loved highlight of Sanctuary Cove’s annual events calendar,” Mr Hasser said. “Whether you are a wine lover or a sommelier, the festival offers a charming vineyard inspired setting to escape the cooler weather and enjoy some of the best wines from all over the world without having to leave the Coast.
Keynote winemakers will also make the journey to represent their labels at Winter Wine. Winter Wine tastings, presentations and live music will run from 11am to 6pm on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 July.
