A new Bulgari Hotel has opened its doors in the heart of Beijing’s Embassy District.

The Bulgari Hotel balances art with nature in its architectural build, designed by Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel. Seven years in construction, it is the fourth instalment within the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts collection.

Celebrities, artists and designers gathered to celebrate the hotel’s opening gala dinner hosted by Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO and Antonio Saponara, General Manager.

Michelin-starred chef Niko Romito, the chef curator of Il Ristorante, created a special dinner for the occasion.

It expressed his philosophy of simplicity and original cuisine concept.

Babin entertained the audience with a speech on the ancient-rooted relationship between Italy and China, followed by a delightful operatic performance by the quartet LE DIV4S.

‘The opening of the first Bulgari hotel in China underlines the importance of this market for our brand and it is a symbol of the fruitful dialogue between our two countries,” said Babin.

Silvio Ursini, Bulgari Group Executive Vice President, Citterio, Viel, landscape designer Enzo Enea, Romito, Saponara and artist Irene Kung and Babin unveiled the amazing portrait of Sotirio Bulgari.

The portrait of the founder of the Maison will be displayed in the lobby. The painting is by renowned contemporary Chinese artist Yang Pei-Ming.

“The Bulgari Hotel Beijing has been designed and built with the same spirit and attention to details that characterise all our properties,”said Ursini.

“We firmly believe that the extensive use of precious materials, Italian marbles, wood details and fabrics, a combination of the best Italian residential furniture and Chinese meticulous craftsmanship, will honour the expectations of our customers.”
