Brisbane-based Elle Lavon, The Fitting Room and Jimmy Rod’s Barbershop have announced their newest venture, The Modern Gentry.

The three founders aspire to offer the gentlemen of Brisbane an avenue to meet all their grooming requirements via their private Facebook group. All types of men will be educated on styling and grooming techniques with the assistance of leading professionals. The Modern Gentry provides a platform, and opportunity for modern gents to talk suits, beards, shoes, beer and more.

This collaboration between the businesses will all males an opportunity to increase their knowledge of style.

The Fitting Room on Edward Street helps men of all shapes and sizes look good and feel confident in their suits. This 30-year old clothing alterations business was presented with the 2017 Australian Small Business Champion Award, whilst Operations Manager Clare Sheng obtained the 2017 Lord Mayor’s Multicultural Young Business Person of the Year Award.

With well over a decade of industry experience, Elle Lavon’s believes that a perfect outfit symbolises so much more than a fashion statement.

Rather than just following trends, Elle makes it her mission to understand her client’s needs and aspirations, selecting a wardrobe that complements their personality and what it is they wish to represent.

At just 21 years of age, Jimmy Rod opened his first store. Jimmy’s core objective remains combining the traditional barbershop experience and values with an innovative twist. Jimmy Rods is now recognised as a leader in men’s grooming, with 13 stores currently accessible in Queensland and one in Victoria.
