Eagle Street Pier has welcomed its latest arrival, 51st Street, serving up breakfast favourites, coffee and burgers in the Brisbane CBD. 51st Street is a New York inspired, industrial style burger bar open all day for espresso and breakfast, and then burgers and beer for lunch. The restaurant boasts American beef burgers made fresh in store, featuring 100 per cent grass fed beef and free range meats.

The Eagle Street Pier restaurant’s “street bowls” feature locally sourced produce, including beef ribs and in house 10 hour American style slow cooked meats, aiming to hit the comfort food mark in a healthy and fresh way. The extensive menu varies from classic bacon and eggs, fluffy pancakes and smashed avocado, to the Man Bun – a toasted schiacciata filled with hash brown, bacon, eggs, cheese, spinach, and barbecue sauce.

The barbecue selection of meats includes tantalising honey paprika chicken and baby back pork ribs, alongside Cape Grim rump and moroccan charred baby barramundi. The list of burgers and pressed sandwiches is standard, including the brisket sandwich with pickles, swiss cheese and slaw, and the vegetarian “Shroom” burger with crispy fried portobello, haloumi and harissa sauce.

The bar features eight taps promising a rotation of selected craft beers, a variety of cocktails and up to 14 whiskeys are also available. The diner will serve up house brewed ice tea and soda, and super shakes for those daring to conquer loaded glasses of chocolate, house spun gelato, whipped cream and crumbled chocolate brownie. For those health-inclined, there is also a selection of super food smoothies. 51st Street opens 6am to 9pm Monday to Friday, and 7am to 9pm on weekends.
