Lunar New Year celebrations in Brisbane’s Little Asia

Celebrate the Year of the Rat at Brisbane’s biggest and most authentic Lunar New Year celebration. Attracting in excess of 150,000 people each year, Sunnybank Plaza and Sunny Park’s iconic Lunar New Year celebrations are back with our biggest program of free, family-friendly festivities to date. This year’s authentic ‘Year of the Rat’ celebrations commence in-centre with a jam-packed five-day program – including traditional tai chi, lion dance and kung fu performances, along with live cooking demonstrations, Feng Shui consultations, do-it-yourself Chinese calligraphy workshops, ice carving and so much more.
