RF’s legacy to Discover a New You with Ravishing Fashionistas is bringing its third annual glitterati event to Brisbane in 2021.
Ravishing Fashionistas Fashion Show is to be held at the Royal International Convention Centre on Saturday 3 July from 6pm. “Our objective is for women to ‘Embrace Yourself by breaking stereotypes in fashion industry, Supporting women to have positive attitudes inclusive of their age, size & ethnicity. We envision to break the stereotypes of the fashion industry and be unique,” the organisers said.
This Year’s RF3 show will be a dynamic gathering of designers, creators and patrons from the fashion industry. Ravishing Fashionistas has pledged to donate to National Breast Cancer Foundation and Dignifying Women (RF’s NGO to support domestic violence survivors). The Fashionistas Team is an inclusive team of experts from the fashion industry and other professional backgrounds who volunteer their time to produce a niche show.
Under the leadership of Upma Kite, Mrs Universal Australia 2019, and her team, they have delivered two previously sold out events, the first at Sofitel in 2019 and the second at Stamford Plaza in 2020. “Every year the team has raised the bar of quality and delivered,” Upma said. “Leading up to the main event the RF Team is organising the Casting Call, where models will have an opportunity to audition for a spot to walk on our runway. This will be held on the 14th March at Hamilton Hall, Racecourse Road from 10am,” she said.
“Last year’s Casting Call was covered by Channel 7, and they have confirmed they are on board again. This is exciting for us because we know our concept is sparking media interests. Successful models not only grace our runway but are also trained in various skills like wellness, make-up routines, hair care, posture and deportment. We are setting a new standard where any woman can be a model in her own right and gain confidence irrespective of body type, background or beliefs.
