Ekka is back with its most anticipated animal experiences and daytime events. There is so much to see every day of the show, there is sure to be something for everyone.
Start your day with Ekka’s Animal Nursery, one of Ekka’s most popular attractions that hosts more than 550 adorable animals. This experience is the perfect opportunity for visitors to get up close and interact with farmyard cuties rarely seen in the city. Don’t forget to check out the Norco Milking Barn where dairy experts will take you through the milking process and even try your hand at milking one of the beautiful dairy cows.
Sit down to watch the Beef Cattle to hype you up in the afternoon. With more than 1,250 head of beef coming ground for Ekka and Ekka Beef Week, the Beef Cattle is some of Ekka’s oldest competitions in action. Bring your kids to the Get Kids Cooking class presented by Australian Eggs to let them have fun in the kitchen. In this hands-on cooking class, kids will roll up their sleeves and don an apron as they measure, grate and chop, before enjoying their creation.
Step into the Enchanted Garden for the Natural Fibres Fashion Parades presented by Channel 7, where beauty abounds and fibre-to-fashion stories are told. This year’s parades feature a stunning array of Brisbane and Queensland fashion, inspired by the threads of nature. Support the talented community dance groups presented by Teddy & Co FUNLAND!!!. More than 50 community dance groups have the exciting chance to perform on the Main Stage every day at Ekka.
So much more is being offered this year, buy your ticket and secure your spot on their website now.
