The Milton Markets have entered 2018 with a new market area, completing the renovation of the marketplace that began last year.

The markets have expanded to include a new shaded seating area, and dedicated animal farm education enclosure, organised by Little Critters Animal Mobile Farm and Rescue. Food offerings have also expanded, with Milton welcoming Crunchies Waffles and its converted double-decker bus to the marketplace.

The weekly market features more than 120 stalls, live entertainment and a variety of family-friendly activities.

The market is dedicated to bringing fresh farm-direct produce to the local community, sourcing a variety of gourmet foods, market provisions, unique homewares and art made by passionate producers, growers, farmers, painters, bakers and butchers from South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.

Its aim is to encourage the community to shop mindfully, and to support local farmers and small business owners, while adding more nutritionally-dense fruit and vegetables to the weeknight meals.

Market-goers can enjoy the local music talent while sampling a range of artisan baked breads and pastries, and scouting the freshest local seafood and premium meats. Old favourites such as Bunker Coffee will offer locals their morning caffeine hit, alongside Banneton Bakery, Enzo’s Pasta and OMG Doughnuts.

Located on Cribb Street, the Milton Markets take place every Sunday from 6am to noon. Entry to the Milton Markets is free, with on-site parking costing $2 per day.
