To mark 35 years of service to the Queensland capital, Singapore Airlines has announced all four daily flights between the two cities will be operated by Airbus A350-900 aircraft from Wednesday 1 May. This announcement will also see Brisbane become the only destination in the airlines’ global network to have multiple daily flights operated by the A350 aircraft type.
Singapore Airlines Regional Vice President South West Pacific Mr Philip Goh said the deployment of the all A350 operation to Brisbane highlighted the Airline’s commitment to the Queensland market. “For 35 years we have proudly served Brisbane, and over that time it has grown to become a highly valuable and very important destination in our network,” Goh said. “We have continued to invest in our services since launching in 1984, and today’s announcement reinforces our longstanding commitment to Brisbane. The deployment of a fourth A350 on 1 May will also deliver our customers an unparalleled level of product consistency as well as the ability to experience and enjoy one of the most modern and technologically advanced aircraft in the sky.”
These aircraft have been equipped with the latest in flight technology and comfort, allowing for those in Economy and Business classes to be relaxed and entertained for the duration of their flights. This includes a new lie flat product for Business Class customers, along with a revamped entertainment system and user interface that offers a more intuitive user experience and navigation options.
Customers will receive content recommendations based on their preferences and viewing history, while KrisFlyer members can continue to bookmark and resume content, as well as customise and save preferences and playlists for their subsequent flights. On top of this, customers will have access to high-speed in-flight WiFi service on board the new A350-900.
