The Australasian Real Estate Conference (AREC) now in its 25th year, will draw upon 33 speakers from overseas and around Australia in an intensive program for residential sales and property management.

The two-day conference which returns for the 10th year to the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on Sunday 28 May and Monday 29 May. The program also has a focus of speaker engagement from industry specialists with a deep understanding of the local real estate landscape.

AREC founder John McGrath, believes that AREC2023 will have a meaningful impact on the industry, as the largest training event in the southern hemisphere. “Consumers are expecting more, faster, better. Agents operating under an old paradigm will be swamped by those who understand the challenges and the opportunities that are now upon us. We believe there will be a significant shakeout over the next few years of Agents who don’t understand what people want. But at the same time, we see those who deliver above expectations will be able to build their business faster and larger than ever in history. Each year we strive to present the Australasian audience a better lineup of speakers than the year before. Which of course 25 years later becomes a challenging task. But I honestly believe we’ve done it again.”

Speakers at this year’s event include famous actors Reece Witherspoon and Caitlyn Jenner, alongside industry leaders and keynotes including Ryan Serhant (The Secreates of the world’s leading agent), Madison Sutton (TheNYCAgent), Tom Ferry (Mindset, Model and Marketing), Sean Hughes (Making the shift from chase to attract), Kate Ashton (Be Honest with Yourself and Others), Sharran Srivatsaa (Dumpster Diving to Buildinga $3billion Business), Sarah Bell (The Stories We Sell), James Tostevin, Marcus Chiminello, Phil Harris and Alexander Philips (A Deep DivDrive with 4 Real Estate Titans), Rich Roll (The Power of Personal Transformation), Susan Scott (Fierce Conversations), Amit Nayak (From Chef to $3million Agent), Shane Brockelbank (From Fighting Fires to Fighting Fees).

There will be presentations by multiple winner of Australasian auctioneer of the Year, Apollo Auctions’ Justin Nickerson (The 3 Keys to Success in 2023), Kieran Bresnahan (Decisions Dictate Influence & Longevity), Cindy Cash (The Balancing Act), Nedd Brockmann (Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable), Dr Kristy Goodwin (Dear Digital, we need to talk), Ryan Mitchell (Winning Ways), Dirk Miller (Accelerate with AI), Chantelle Collin (Togetherness), Kelly O’Brien (Halfway Up the Mountain), Joshua Thomas (The PM Business Blueprint), Fiona Blayney (Once Upon a Time), Yemi Penn (Rebellious Curiosity), Megan Taylor (A Longview), Brodie McPhie (New Business Powerhouse), Heidi Rosin (Little Bird Big Wings), Monique Richardson (Customer Experience & Self Care), Jonathan Bell (Making a ‘Housemark’) and more.

Nichola Byrne, General Manager of Total Real Estate Training (TRET), organiser of AREC2023 said: “At this point strong take-up reflects a return to pre COVID numbers and a thirst for good learning and insights by the industry. Interestingly, there has been a particularly strong take-up showing from New Zealand this year (7%). Leading the way in Australia is NSW (30%), followed by QLD (25%), VIC (23%), SA (3.3%), WA (3.8%), TAS (3%).”

“In a new world of global communication and the many restrictions caused by the pandemic, we have embraced technology to access speakers we would otherwise be unable to secure, to share valuable insights and learnings with our delegates. The appetite for face-to-face learning has seen our registrations rocket and with the opening of our borders, so to are registrations from across the pond. We expect attendance numbers to exceed 3500 delegates,” she said.

Tom Panos, Coach & Founder of The Real Estate Gym,  is one of the most highly respected real estate industry speakers and coaches in Australia and will MC AREC 2023.
