Bare Naked Bowls, born and bred on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, has landed in the Sunshine State with the first store opening in Toowong on Friday 7 December.

Bare Naked Bowls is an acai bar and superfood café which has enjoyed great success since the opening of its first store in Manly in 2015. The group now boasts four stores located throughout various iconic Sydney locations including Manly, Bronte, Surry Hills and Dee Why beach.

Bare Naked Bowls is the brainchild of Josh and Ashley Porteous, a couple on a mission, with a burning desire to lead the way to healthier lifestyles. Josh and Ashley want to spread awareness and educate people on superfoods while raising money for their charity, International Brothers and Sisters House (IBSH). The benefits of wholefoods and their nutritional value were discovered by the pair through their time volunteering in developing countries, which ultimately became the root of their philosophy to ‘eat well and do good’. The dynamic duo have established Bare Naked Bowls in a way that supports their charity, funding orphans and underprivileged youth in developing countries to help them receive tertiary education.

Josh said, “We are excited to be launching Bare Naked Bowls in Queensland and feel that our offering aligns very well with the growing health and wellness trends happening in the Brisbane market. The Brisbane climate is perfect for our range of acai bowls, superfood smoothies, smoothie bowls, raw food snacks and speciality lattes. We are delighted to be opening at Toowong in conjunction with Wholehealth Pharmacy to create a complete health and wellness destination.”
