Black Ox Dining, one of Brisbane’s first pop up degustation restaurants, will turn three this year, returning to share the produce and flavours of Queensland with its diners.
Following two years of sell out events in Brisbane, Black Ox Dining will be opening a pop-up their restaurant on Wednesday 13 March for a one night dinner to kick start its third year. Black Ox Dining has been serving delicious degustation dinners with carefully sourced seasonal produce from local growers and their own gardens prepared to perfection by their talented chefs Chris Siktars and Rachael Bissett in the heart of Paddington. The farm to table inspired menu is complemented by matching wines and beers from small local producers.
The Black Ox Dining team have no shortage of well known restaurant names under its belt, with Siktars working at well known Melbourne restaurants Cumulus Inc, Tom Pockett Cellars, Cutler & Co, Joinery, Mammoth and Yering Station. Siktars says his focus is simple. “Our focus has always been on stripping back and redefining fine dining to create a more approachable dining experience,” he said.
Black Ox Dining is a pop-up restaurant hosted in unique and intimate locations around Brisbane. After launching its successful pop-up dinner series in 2016, it has been developing relationships with local growers and farmers to incorporate organic farming principles to improve the land that the food is grown on.
