Brisbane sparkled with the launch of BAD- Brisbane Art Design Festival 2019 hosted by Museum of Brisbane. Over 200 guests from the arts, corporate and creative industries sectors celebrated the start of 17 days, over 150 artists and 25 locations with free events for the general public. Special guest performers The Huxleys wowed the crowd along with DJ Michelle Xen. Some of the artists and designers who attended were Kellie O’Dempsey, Nicolette Johnson, Bridie Gillman, Alexander Lotersztain and Georgie Pinn. The Brisbane Art Design [BAD] Festival runs until 26 May with a series of exhibitions, performances, talks, art tours, workshops and open studios.
