Brisbane Fashion Festival is returning in 2023 for its 16th event with an expanded program over five days, from Monday 21 – Friday 25th August.

Held in the heart of Brisbane City, in King George Square and City Hall, the Festival is expected to welcome upwards of 3,000 guests throughout the week.

Brisbane Economic Development Agency returns as the Festival’s Principal Partner, joining organisers in promoting the very best of local fashion design – from the most well-known names in Queensland fashion to the brightest up-and-coming talent, alongside some of Australia’s coveted national labels.

Brisbane Fashion Festival Director, Lindsay Bennett, is thrilled to announce initial plans for the 2023 event. “As Queensland’s premier annual fashion event, Brisbane Fashion Festival provides a vital platform to celebrate our local design talent on a world-class stage, connecting designers and retailers with an audience of fashion media, industry representatives, and most importantly, potential customers,” Mr Bennett says.

With the 2022 Brisbane Fashion Festival selling out in record time, this year’s Festival will feature more events over a five-day program, welcoming a greater number of fashion fans and showcasing a larger number of designers and retailers.

The 2023 Brisbane Fashion Festival will launch with the return of the much-loved fashion High Tea series; and deliver the excitement of jam-packed runway shows featuring Queensland, Australian, and next gen fashion designers. Plus, exciting new events are also in the works.

Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said he was proud to welcome the Fashion Festival to Brisbane once again. “The Brisbane Fashion Festival is a staple in the city’s events calendar, bringing the streets to life with runway shows, foodie events, and some of our best local and national styles on show,” Cr Schrinner said.

“Each year this event creates a great ripple effect on local designers, retailers, bars and restaurants, while directly supporting hundreds of local jobs. We can’t wait to see the festival return bigger and better this year.”

As Brisbane Fashion Festival evolves, what remains the same is its dedication to driving fashion retail for Queensland. Fashion enthusiasts can expect a spectacular line-up of Queensland and Australian designers, both established and emerging, with all the raw creativity, spectacular aesthetics, and inspiring runway moments audiences have come to anticipate from this premier annual event.

The full program for Brisbane Fashion Festival 2023 will be released on 31st May, with tickets on sale from Thursday 1st June via the Festival’s new ticketing partner, Ticketek.
