Christian Louboutin has announced the opening of a new boutique, located at Shop 15/215 Queen Street, Brisbane.

The 154sqm space, dedicated to both the Men & Women collections, is a tribute to the designer’s eclectic aesthetic, infused with the spirit of an exotic holiday. Christian Louboutin is a French high-end footwear brand founded in 1991. The ‘lacquered red sole’ has become the designer’s signature. In addition to shoes, the luxury brand has a fabulous collection of leather products and accessories as well.

Inspired by the traditional Egyptian house boat – a dahabiya, Christian Louboutin’s beloved home on the Nile, Egypt. The store is a parenthesis of quietness and serenity, an invitation to cruise down the Nile and a place where guests can feel welcomed into the house of a friend-who knows them well and loves them.

The boutique design is imagined as a mix between the designer’s creative universe, his home in Egypt and his country of birth (France). A unique photo collage at the entrance chronicles his inspirations while the whole space is surrounded with white wood walls typical of the dahabiya boat hold. In the center, consoles skilfully stained with salt in dark blue tones create a contrast with the boutique and its iconic red carpeting.

Armchairs in exquisite textiles are inspired by the antique furniture on Christian’s dahabiya, welcoming guests to relax in the space. On each side of the boutique, displays made of suedine and studs feature the latest styles of the collection. Every detail of the boutique is a tribute to craftmanship with custom fabrications and trimming; down to hand wrapped rope detailing, referencing the sails of the dahabiya.
