Extended trading hours at Robina Town Centre, Gold Coast’s shopping epicentre, are underway as the final countdown is on to Christmas Day. With just a few sleeps to go the festive spirit is in full force and shoppers are set to make their way around all day, night, and right up until Christmas Eve.
Robina Town Centre is open until 7pm daily until Wednesday, 18 December, before heading on a midnight trade on Thursday, 20 December. Doors will then stay open late, again, on Friday 21 December until 9pm. On Saturday and Sunday (21 and 22 December), the centre will open from 9am to 6pm – with dining venues ready to fuel shoppers across the week up until 10pm daily. On Monday, 23 December, the centre will once again open until 9pm, while traditional hours return for Christmas Eve (9am to 5.30pm).
Robina Town Centre’s Senior Marketing Manager, Melissa Shaw, said the festive spirit has well and truly taken over the centre. “The spirit of Christmas is at an all-time high throughout the whole of Robina Town Centre and we have an array of activities on every day until Christmas. In addition to our retailers, the jolly man himself – Santa has extended his visiting hours and will park the sleigh at Robina Town Centre for some later evenings as well,” she said.
Santa will be in his Enchanted Forest outside Myer daily until Christmas Eve, with later visiting hours available until 9pm on Thursday (20 December), Sunday and Monday (22 and 23 December ) until 8pm.
Throughout the centre, shoppers can enjoy entertainment, face painting, balloon artists and carollers. For extra fun, shoppers can bring the family in for Awkward Christmas Portraits on December 19 from 5-9pm where they can dress up in a range of kitsch Christmas attire and ham it up for the camera for free. Also sharing some of her much loved Christmas spirit, Ani the Creative Fairy has free story time with the children every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10am outside Myer (opposite Queen Bee Nail Salon). To save on time, the volunteers of LIVIN are on hand to wrap presents for a gold coin donation. All proceeds help to raise valuable funds for the LIVIN charity.
