The Scenic Rim is gearing up for Arts Ablaze hosted by Scenic Rim Regional Council at the Ramada Resort in the picturesque Kooralbyn Valley from 2 to 6 October, 2019. The five-day celebration will welcome more than 500 innovators, creators and performers from around the globe.

The schedule showcases three days of conference-style events centred around: Transforming People, Place, Attitudes and Access. Artistic highlights include projection works by Craig Walsh, performances by Goat Track Theatre Company, Opera Eagles Nest, The Music Doctors, Mzaza, The Ironing Maidens and ‘First Nation projects’ led by the local Mununjali community in collaboration with the cre8veunltd team.

In addition to the conference schedule the event will showcase two days of weekend festivities open to the public including bespoke adult artisan workshops consisting of bamboo flute making, blacksmithing, shibori dyeing, basketry, rug making, lino printing, puppet making, silversmithing, Aboriginal art, didgeridoo making, and limestone carving.
