Brisbane based artist Roman Longginou‘s exhibition Constructed Heroic was held on November 22 at Innerspace Contemporary Art in Newstead. Roman uses the traditional medium of charcoal to reinterpret the modern visual language of collage and montage. His representational drawing practice is concerned with pictorial composition, combining and recontextualising images from varying sources in response to the patchwork experience of contemporary life in an image-saturated environment. This new body of work examines the constructed and manicured archetypal male hero figure.
