Local charity Share the Dignity pledged to end one of Australia’s lesser known but widespread issues – period poverty, last Friday 28 May. Charitable guests and speakers filled the Rose room at Cloudland for the organization’s annual High Tea where guests raised money to fund the charity’s vending machines, of which hundreds are placed in schools and shelters, providing free sanitary products to those in need. Coinciding with World Menstrual Hygiene Day, over 200 people sat to hear the MC of the day, radio personality, Margaux Parker, talking to an inspiring panel of speakers, which included the Founder and Managing Director of Share the Dignity, Rochelle Courtenay.
