Scenic Rim Regional Council launched Eat Local Week at Moda Events Portside to celebrates the smorgasbord of fresh produce and gourmet ingredients on Monday 30 April. More than 220 Queensland food producers, regional ambassadors, chefs and food enthusiasts attended the event, inlcuding ABC Landline’s Pip Courtney and authors Brenda Fawdon and Christine Sharp.
The launch celebrated the second volume of Eat Local – Food, Farming and Conversation in the Scenic Rim, and with foor by Javier Codina. This year, Eat Local Week features more than 90 events across the region, from farm tours to gourmet dinners and the signature event, the Winter Harvest Festival.
