Coolangatta Gold

The Coates Hire Coolangatta Gold is one of the most challenging endurance races in surf sports. What began as the central theme for a motion picture over 30 years ago, has now commanded a place on Australia’s annual sports calendar. The Long Course is designed for the endurance surf sport competitor who is up for the Ultimate Challenge. The Short Course is designed for the everyday endurance athlete that commands the best. The Youth Challenge is specially designed for aspiring lifesavers and future ocean and beach event competitors (10 to 16-year-olds) who are up for a challenge and keen to be part of the main event experience.
