Award-winning Queensland writer Claire Christian makes her mainstage debut as a playwright next month, when La Boite and QUT Creative Industries premiere Lysa and The Freeborn Dames; a bold and powerful response to Aristophanes’ Greek comedy Lysistrata. The play is described as Aristophanes, crossed with a girl group power-ballad, served with a plate of your grandma’s best CWA scones.
