Reclink Community Cup
July 28, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Free – $30
The Reclink Australia Community Cup is back for its fourth consecutive year. This year’s theme for the national event is based around Paul Kelly’s timeless rallying cry From Little Things Big Things Grow, a most appropriate choice for the Brisbane leg of the Community Cup given that the anthem was co-penned by Queensland song writing legend Kev Carmody. Powderfinger, Violent Soho and Dead Letter Circus and many more will perform at this charity event, that will also display an array of food trucks, family-friendly entertainment and friendly footy games. Every dollar raised in the Brisbane match goes directly to Reclink Australia programs within Queensland, funding much needed participatory opportunities in sports, recreation and the arts for those experiencing disadvantage within our society. This is a day about giving back to those in need, filtered through a lens of the music and sporting opportunities that we so often take for granted as a right rather than a privilege in our modern-day lives.
