Something Like Dancing
Melbourne-based artist Jacqui Shelton’s Something Like Dancing explores familiarity, gesture and the concept of embodied communication through an intimate fusion of performance, film and audio. Delving into intimate encounters, the spaces between and hiding behind them, Shelton’s exhibition puts emphasis on the unspoken exchanges: the rules, anomalies, proximities and movement that make up our everyday interactions. The artist talk will begin at 6pm on Wednesday 22 August. Coded stories (reading with Jacqui Shelton and Therese Keogh) is at 3pm on Saturday 11 August.
