“Stay Away!” Self Defence Workshop

$30Do you want to learn some new skills while supporting women in need? Sieverts Radiation Consultancy is offering a special “Stay Away!” workshop in support of Women’s Legal Service Queensland (WLS). Stay Away!’ is a 3-hour women-only self-defence program that gives practical tools for self- empowerment. All proceeds from the day will be donated to help fund the frontline work of WLS, who provide free legal and welfare help to women experiencing domestic violence.
William Tan, founder of Sieverts Radiation Consultancy – one of Australia’s leading radiation safety advisory companies – has organised this special workshop as part of his fundraising campaign for Dancing CEOs, WLS’s annual charity event in which he will be taking to the stage on 5 May.
The WLS Helpline supported more than 11,000 women and with them 17,000 children across Queensland in 2016 – but tragically 50% of calls to the Helpline are unanswered due to capacity constraints.
