Straight from the Strait brings a fresh wave of talent to the Playhouse stage, alongside seasoned Opera Queensland performer Marcus Corowa (Do We Need Another Hero?, Lady Sings the Maroons), highly regarded dancer Ghenoa Gela (Force Majeure, Polytoxic) and Zeek Power (The Voice). Join brothers Boyor, Kusa and Pinau on their journey from the Torres Strait Islands to find work on the mainland. Leaving behind their family and island way of life, they face trials that test their bond and ultimately make history by achieving a track-laying record through their hard work.
