A tragicomedy about footy, friendship, sporting culture and small town rivalries will blur the line between actor and audience during The Forwards season at the Brisbane Powerhouse this June. This follows a series of successful shows on the Gold Coast as part of Bleach* Festival in April, with Shock Therapy Productions returning to the Visy Theatre after their Matilda award-winning season of The Pillowman in 2015. Written by Stefo Nantsou, director and founder of internationally renowned Zeal Theatre, and performed by multi-award winning company Shock Therapy Productions, The Forwards follows the story of a small town called Pintoon where nothing ever happens – except the footy.
Tickets are available for $20 to $35 at http://brisbanepowerhouse.org/events/2017/06/14/the-forwards/.
