A star-studded lineup is ready to shine at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia 2019 in Sydney with a pair of powerhouse fashion duos ready to deliver from 12 to 19 May. Australian fashion house Aje has been named the Mercedes-Benz Presents Designer for 2019, revealing its Resort 2020 collection in a showing at Campbell’s Stores in Sydney’s The Rocks.

Aje’s Adrian Norris says the honour is a recognition not only for the brand, but also their loyal clients. “We always seek to offer them something truly unique, and we look forward to making this a milestone moment with them in mind,” he says.

Another key show on opening day to be staged at the Carriageworks in Sydney, is sport and leisurewear brand PE Nation. Co-founders Pip Edwards and Claire Tregoning are set to energise the week that will also include Albus Lumen, Bondi Born, Hansen & Gretel, and more. Carriageworks will host the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge, providing a relaxing space for guests to enjoy beverages and canapes between shows. Attendees will have the opportunity to also peruse stylish offerings from the Mercedes-Benz product range including a sleek CLS Coupé at Campbell Stores, plus the high-performance Mercedes-AMG GT R at Carriageworks along with an iconic G-Class off-roader.

Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific CEO and Managing Director, Horst von Sanden, says that even after the company has provided decades of direct support for Australian fashion, he still gets a thrill from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia each year. “For us, this is an opportunity to immerse ourselves in design and innovation,” he said. “We design and manufacture cars on the cutting edge of technology and sometimes it’s both enjoyable and instructive to see how design professionals from another industry, like Edwina and Adrian from Aje, approach their work and create something that’s desirable but also practical and useful in people’s lives.”
