Newmarket’s Spencer Park is set to come alive with the tastes, sights and sounds of Italy as Festitalia returns on Sunday 14 October from 11am to 6pm.

The community is invited to participate in this celebration of all things Italian, with more than 30 Italian flavour-makers, national and international faces, including famed Italian tenor Raffaele Pierno, and a whole lot of culture. The event will feature local and national Italian artists, entertainers, dancers, singers and performers, such as the internationally acclaimed Gruppo Storico Fivizzano Flagthrowers, who will be joining the Brisbane Tarantella Dancers, swordsmen Prima Spada, and famed pizza acrobat Youssef Ben-Touati.

Festitalia will be more than a feast for the eyes and ears, with a wide variety of Italian-inspired stalls and pop-ups offering authentic espresso, pasta, pizza, and calamari to cannoli, gnocchi and nutella doughnuts, granita to Italian meatballs, and more. The festival will also feature cannoli and gelato aating competitions as well as nonna’s slipper toss.

Under the patronage of the Italian Consulate in Brisbane, Festitalia is one of Queensland’s only official Italian Festivals and aims to promote the richness of the Italian cultural heritage and community.
