One Fish Two Fish is opening up for one day to provide a Great, not Good, Friday of seafood and wine at home this long weekend. After all, one must eat fish on Good Friday.

With so much going on in the world of hospitality it’s easy to forget that the long weekend of feasting that we call Easter is fast approaching. The Easter long weekend has long been associated with great seafood, so Kangaroo Point’s One Fish Two Fish is re-opening for one day (following their temporary closure in late March) to bring the people of Brisbane a Great Friday, with online orders for seafood and wine now open for pick-up or delivery.

“We traditionally spend a Great Friday (not just a Good Friday…) with other restaurant and bar owners over seafood and wine every year—obviously, things are different at the moment, but we hope we can share our traditions with people over the Easter break nonetheless,” says owner and head chef Daniel Miletic. The take away menu will include Sydney rock oysters  by the dozen or half dozen, as well as peeled Queensland tiger prawns served with sriracha and lime aioli and lemon, and house-made tartare sauce.

It would not be a long weekend without wine, so One Fish Two Fish is also offering bottles of Buoy Oh Bouy prosecco (VIC), Babo pinot grigio (ITA), and Bouchard Aîné & Fils rosé (FRA) with any order, while Lanson Père et Fils NV champagne is available too. The deadline for Great Friday seafood and wine orders is 9 pm tonight, Tuesday, April 7 via the One Fish Two Fish website with pick-up on Thursday 9 April preferred and available between 2 pm and 7 pm. There is a charge for delivery on Thursday but it is free for orders over $120.
