Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival Director Jacinta Richmond was in New York last week, where she spent time in Soho with Australian Supermodel Elle MacPherson. It was just one of many invitations she has had this year and opportunities to further promote the Sunshine Coast and the industry she represents.

The weekend prior, Jacinta had been in Sydney to speak at the Sydney Retail Festival, and the next day she was back on the Sunshine Coast holding a second model castings before heading to Melbourne the following day and by Tuesday she was heading to New York. In February, Jacinta spoke at the Melbourne Retail Festival and has been heavily involved with Business Blueprint since April, having also taken on the role of Project Manager with Generation Innovation just two weeks earlier in March.

Managing Another Woman’s Closet and Off the Rack designer markets in between, as well at the Sunshine Coast International Fashion Festival in just three weeks, and the Sunshine Coast Style Awards plus the Sunshine Coast Design Awards and Hall of Fame prior – Jacinta is definitely one busy lady. Jacinta said after a while the focus becomes maniacal.“When you have nothing else to do, your focus is maniacal, and the to-do list becomes tiny. It’s also the ideal time to clean out the email inbox and sent box and see what you have missed, allowing you to action accordingly,” says Jacinta.

After the festival the busy times do not end for Jacinta, with a daughter graduating Year 12 and another international trip, it looks like Jacinta is planning for a busy year ahead.
